Caregivers for people with developmental disabilities face many challenges. Parents and caregivers are invited to a symposium on services, resources and options for people making the transition to adult services.

Mimi Swartz is the executive editor of Texas Monthly and an award winning magazine journalist.  Her article, "Failing Darla" in the July 2009 issue of Texas Monthly  chronicled the harsh realities for the estimated 66,000 Texans with developmental disabilities.
